How It Works
The unique technology combines Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths allowing us to treat hair safely and effectively for all skin tones.
Alexandrite 755nm: Recognised as the ‘gold standard’ and the most effective wavelength for laser hair removal, particularly for fair to olive skin tones (Fitzpatrick Scale 1-3).
Nd:YAG 1064nm: This wavelength is safer for hair removal for more pigmented skin (Fitzpatrick Scale 4-6).
What To Expect
Prior to Treatment
We require all of our laser clients to come to a consultation and patch test. This enables us to assess you, talk through the treatment and lets you ask any questions. We ask that you leave a small amount of hair to be assessed.
Please do not wax, thread or tweeze the hair for at least 2 weeks before the treatment. Please refrain from using sunbeds, suntans, or fake tans 30 days prior to any treatments.
Hair must be dark (pigmented) for the laser to be effective. Blonde and white will not work. Some red hair may see reduction.
Treatment Time
Clients report that it feels like being flicked with a hot elastic band.
Treatments are very quick; a bikini treatment typically takes under 15 minutes.
We offer the Moveo cooling tip for clients who are sensitive and find the treatment too uncomfortable.
After Care
Skin can look slightly red and feel warm to the touch.
Redness for a few hours afterwards with minor swelling around the treated hair follicle.
